Hooray!

I’ve been incognito from WordPress this past year, hope ya missed me. I have been working as an Americorps member at a nonprofit in San Jose called Our City Forest. My year of service ends in August, so I’m searching around and applying for new jobs in the environmental field. I am hoping to find work in and around the Bay Area, or I have the option of staying at Our City Forest for another year. Time will tell…but now I must wait patiently.

My favorite Scrabble hand I got a few months ago.
I modeled for a portrait class during the month of June at University Art in San Jose. It was my first time being on the other side of the canvas. I think I enjoy being able to create art more than being the subject of art. Alas, it was a cool experience and I made some extra cash! I enjoyed listening to the teacher, Linda Harris, interact with the students and see them all improve over the 5 week class.
