Case Study: Event Branding & Digital Illustration
For this project, I was tasked with designing a logo, poster, and different collateral for an event.

Design Process

As seen in my sketchbook pages, I started brainstorming with notes before creating multiple thumbnail sketches to generate logo concepts. Hand-drawn elements appear frequently in my designs, which I digitize and further develop in Adobe Illustrator.

For a larger, multifaceted project, the design process can be iterative, as it was for this one. As I was narrowing down which logo variation to go with, I sketched potential poster layouts before deciding on the final design. Additionally, I created multiple mood boards to help me narrow down the overall aesthetic.

The design aesthetic I chose was retro to capture the nostalgia and musicality of the vinyl medium featured and celebrated at the event. I focused on consistent branding across the various merchandise mockups and the final poster design.
Variations of the poster design. Adjustments were made with feedback from my professor and after test-printing.
